Richmond is gearing up as we speak for a weekend of non-stop festival merriment. We have our pick of:
- the Richmond Italian Festival (gelato, per favore!),
- the 2nd Street Festival (a musical feast held in our own “Harlem of the South”),
- the Que Pasa Festival (mmmmpupusas), and last but not least
- the Hogtober Festival (a treat for those who love meat).
Or for those who are able-bodied, attend all four! Why not! I for one am particularly proud of Richmond’s culturally-rich community this weekend. For a city our size, the strong focus on arts and culture that we enjoy is pretty awe-inspiring. That big picture realization will be the metaphorical cherry atop my gelato.
And speaking of inspiration, where is yours coming from right now? If the week has been long and the meetings a snoozefest, it may help to venture outside your comfort zone to rekindle the best kind of creative energy. The internet is quick and easy, but there’s nothing like stimulating the senses and being inspired by new people and experiences to learn what will do the same for your potential clients. And vice versa. It’s a symbiotic kind of thing.
This post for example was inspired by one of our own clients, John Bryan, whose blog about weekly activities around the city for Richmond’s CultureWorks organization made me want to get out and about myself. And it’s about that time!
