We are interviewing for a part-time fall intern. Would you or someone you know be a great intern for MBM? We offer a paid, hand’s on opportunity. Here’s our intern ad:
MBM Marketing is a strategic marketing agency located in Richmond, Virginia. Our focus is smart strategy, stellar creative and exceptional client services. We emphasize and dedicate ourselves to clarity of messaging in all marketing and communications materials. We believe marketing and advertising must create an effect, or else it’s not worth doing. And we believe in enjoying our work with our clients and with each other. Our client base is varied, but includes community banks as well as a variety of service providers in the business and consumer markets.
If you intern with MBM Marketing during the fall of 2010, you’ll learn a lot, about many different aspects of marketing. You might be going on a press check, proofing copy, sitting in on a creative meeting, putting together spreadsheets, compiling agendas and debriefs, entering time against client projects, designing (or writing or proofreading) an ad, or sitting in on a client meeting.
We definitely need help with updating our media kits and contacts as well as research for a new client in a new market. We’re also looking for some additional insights into social media, online advertising, analytics research, and web reporting.
Every day is different with many different projects going on at the same time. Of course, there may be times when filing or answering phones is necessary, but it’s all part of agency life. You’ll spend your time at MBM reading, researching, designing, asking, learning, and making industry contacts.
MBM Marketing is looking for an intern that has an interest in working in the marketing field who will work part-time – 20 hours per week on a minimum wage basis for 6 weeks. MBM can work with your schedule, and your desire to take advantage of this experience, if you’re the right fit. And we hope you’ll be flexible to our schedule – to be able to experience a last minute photo shoot or client meeting.
It would be great if you had some InDesign experience, but it’s most important that you’re comfortable with Word, Excel and have excellent people skills.
To apply for MBM Marketing’s Internship, please send your resume and a cover letter explaining why working at MBM Marketing would be a good fit for you to firstname.lastname@example.org.
